| Jade’s 34th birthday was a little over a month after she died and as such it was too early for a headstone at her resting place. When considering this on the eve of Jade’s 34th birthday a friend from Surrey unexpectedly called at my house (in Yorkshire) and of all things had a large cross in her car. On request, I was given the cross and my friend and I set about making it perfect for Jade’s resting place until such a time as a headstone could be placed. Suddenly I had a doubt, maybe Jade wouldn’t like this. Then, out of the blue, the radio crackled, came alive and played Jade and Ric’s song “A Thousand Years”. I was stunned. I felt it was a sign from Jade that she both knew and approved.
